Vintage Hand-dyed Cotton Patched Indigo Pillow

Lan Yin Hua Bu, known in English as Nankeen and Blue Calico, is a natural indigo hand dye process that originated in China 3,000 years ago. The front was once a bedspread, dappled with cheery daisies. The back is homespun cream colored fabric which would have served as a base for the Nankeen indigo dye.
